This picture makes the ink look too rich. |
De Atrammentis's Oriental Red is an interesting red, but I didn't use it all that long. The picture at the left isn't a fantastic representation of the ink's color. It's a bit more dull in real life. The best representation of this color is in the last picture's scribble. It's a bit like the red you'd find on an old pot or a really dark terracotta red.
I didn't care for this ink, really. It's just too bland. It's a dry-writer, so if you have a really wet pen this ink might be for you. To be fair, the pen that I used it in is a little on the dry side.
